Charvel once again ups the ante for modern high performance combined with elegant style and crushing tone with the Pro-Mod DK24, a stunning new instrument designed especially for a new breed of player whose musical vision and versatility knows no boundaries.
The all-new DK24 HSH 2PT CM and DK24 HSS 2PT CM models take our modern DK24 platform up a notch with a two-piece bolt-on caramelized maple "speed" neck with graphite reinforcement, sculpted heel, heel-mount truss rod adjustment wheel, Luminlay side dots and a silky-smooth hand-rubbed urethane finish. A 12"-16" compound radius caramelized maple fingerboard features comfortable rolled edges, 24 jumbo frets, pearloid dot inlays and Graph Tech® nut.
Other premium modern features include a five-way blade pickup switch, Stratocaster-style speed knobs for the volume (with 500K EVH® Bourns® low-friction potentiometer) and no-load tone controls, Gotoh Custom 510 recessed tremolo bridge, locking tuners and chrome hardware.
The DK24 HSH 2PT CM offers a HSH pickup configuration consisting of a Custom Seymour Duncan Full Shred SH-10B bridge pickup, Seymour Duncan Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 single-coil middle pickup and Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro APH-1N neck pickup.
The DK24 HSS 2PT CM offers a HSS pickup configuration consisting of a Custom Seymour Duncan Full Shred SH-10B bridge pickup, Seymour Duncan Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 single-coil middle pickup and Seymour Duncan Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 RWRP single-coil neck pickup.
The DK24 FR models enjoy improved sustain and intonation from the recessed Floyd Rose® 1000 series double-locking tremolo bridge system.
All DK24 models feature a sculpted Dinky body crafted from premium wood, bolt-on two-piece maple neck with graphite reinforcement, heel-mount truss rod adjustment wheel, 12"-16" compound radius fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets and Seymour Duncan pickups with five-way blade switching, volume control and no-load tone control.
The profile (amount of curvature) of a compound radius fingerboard is more curved by the nut for comfortable chording and riffing. As you move up the neck it flattens out for faster playing and wide bends in the upper register.
The spoke wheel truss adjustment is located at the butt end of the neck for easy access, making relief adjustments a breeze. With no need to remove the neck, you can quickly adjust your neck relief, even in-between songs if necessary.
