MusicRadar Tests a Charvel Desolation DS-1 FR

Posted on December 22nd, 2011 by Pauline France

The Charvel Desolation DS-1 FR received praise and a four-out-of-five star rating from MusicRadar.

The review offers readers a a great look at the axe with a stunning photo gallery, and dives straight into the DS-1′s specs.

“Through-neck designs are celebrated for their long sustain, and that’s the case here,” said the review.

According to MusicRadar, the DS-1 is also suitable for players longing for clean tone.

“Played clean, there’s some lovely woody body to strummed chords and, as the amp gain is raised, so is the trebly edge,” said Music Radar. “The DS-1 stays perfectly in tune, plays wonderfully and is well balanced when strapped on.”

MusicRadar Takes a Look at a Charvel Desolation DC-1 ST

Posted on December 8th, 2011 by Pauline France

MusicRadar recently tested out a brand new Charvel Desolation DC-1 ST, giving it a hefty four-out-of five star rating.

With its fat tones and no-nonsense specs, MusicRadar said, ”The DC-1 performs very well indeed, offering flawless playing comfort that’s designed with hard rock and modern metal techniques in mind.”

It also explains the guitar’s specs to a tee, describing why its features make the Charvel Desolation DC-1 ST the ultimate choice for player lusting for heavy tone.

“The DC-1 ST’s Floyd-loaded compadres are meaty specimens, but this model possesses the fattest tone of all,” said MusicRadar. “No doubt due to the fact that the stoptail is screwed straight into the through-neck.”
